STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – After announcing the World Top University Business Incubator and Accelerator Rankings 2015 on November 25, Live from Trafalgar Square in central London, as well as the UBI Global World Top University Associated Business Incubators 2015 on December 15, live from Stockholm, Sweden, UBI Global is proud to present five World High Impact Incubation Programs 2015.

The business incubation industry is still in its adolescence and its key players should be celebrated. Distinguishing the incubators and accelerators that are trailblazing the industry allows us to separate average incubators and accelerators from top performing ones and understand why the latter are surpassing their counterparts in terms of such KPI’s as talent retention and post incubation performance.

This not a ranking per se but rather an emphasis on incubators and accelerators with high impact and above average performance globally, always shown in alphabetical order. Here at UBI Global we realize that every business incubator and accelerator is different from the next, and in order for us to conduct our research and provide the most accurate rankings and benchmarks possible, we have the difficult task of assigning every incubator a category or group. This category arose because of certain programs do not fit either ranking category in a specific region or globally (UBI, UABI, UBA), however, their performance has been outstanding, meaning that we see it as our responsibility to highlight these exceptional programs.

The World High Impact Incubation Program category is not related to the regional announcement made earlier this fall by UBI Global. The incubation programs from those regional announcements has been categorised in different world groups according to this scheme presented on November 17th.

High Impact Incubation Program

A High Impact Incubation Program is a successful business incubator or accelerator that is managed, affiliated or associated with a university, that has high impact on its ecosystem and provides higher value to their startup clients than their regional or global peers. They stand out from average-performing incubation programs with better outcomes on economy enhancement, access to funds and post incubation performance indicators.
